Intro to Graphite Drawing - Workshop with Deb Keirce
When: Monday, September 29th, 6-8 PM in the AOA Twiford Room
Cost: $25 per person
Participants will discuss the introductory concepts necessary to draw realistically in graphite. Artist Deb Keirce will lead the group through the process of a pencil drawing, learning how important basic value rules are in any two-dimensional realism art genre - painting, pastels, mixed media, etc.
If you have ever wondered how to capture a likeness, how to make a sketch where the subject is recognizable and real, this is the class for you. You will focus on quick sketching that can be done on location. If you are waiting at the airport, or in a waiting room, or just want to step outside for a break, why not turn those minutes into a sketch practice? Think of how much your drawing can improve if you focus on creating renderings for a few minutes each day. All you need is a pencil and paper.
All skill levels are welcome and all materials are provided.
