Each year, artists working in 2D mediums are invited to enter their works depicting local and regional landmarks for the chance to be featured in an exhibition and win cash prizes.

The N.C. Arts Council-sponsored Artist Support Grant provides regional creatives the opportunity to submit projects for consideration for financial assistance of up to $1,200.
Artists of all areas and mediums working in Bertie, Camden, Chowan, Currituck, Gates, Hertford, Pasquotank, and Perquimans counties are invited to apply.
Applications are currently closed. Stay tuned for the 2025-2026 Artist Support Grant applications, to be announced later this year.

Inner Banks Arts is a collaboration between four regional arts councils—Arts of the Albemarle, Perquimans Arts League, Chowan Arts Council, and Bertie County Arts Council. The initiative was conceived to foster a vibrant and inclusive arts community across northeastern North Carolina.

Wednesday Weekly Open Studio with Kelly Cameron (January - April)
Open Studio will be held weekly on Wednesdays from 1 to 4 PM and is free to the public. Bring your supplies and work in a group environment!

Sunday Studio with Jules & Chelsea
Sunday Studio will be held on the third Sunday of each month in the Madrin Studio from 3-6pm and is free to the public. Bring your supplies and work in a group environment!

ArtWalk Artist Market Tables
Join us at the Madrin Studio on Poindexter Street during the lively First Friday ArtWalk from 4–7 PM! Reserve one of only 10 artist vendor tables available each month to display, sell, or demonstrate your work.
What’s Included:
1 table and chair
Climate-controlled indoor space with restrooms
ArtWalk vendors will be mentioned as a group with our regular First Friday event advertisements.
No commission taken on your sales (sales tax is your responsibility)
Fees:
$20 – Current AoA Members
$25 – Non-Members
Fee includes same-day access to the First Friday Open Studio session (1–4 PM).
Details:
Tables must be reserved and prepaid online or in person.
Non-refundable, but transferable to another artist if you can’t attend.
Spaces are first come, first served—reserve early!
All work must be handmade; no pre-made or wholesale items will be accepted.
No Open Studio or vendor tables on Friday, October 3rd for SPLASH week!
