The Kate Dean Endowment honors the life and memory of a young local, Kate, by supporting visual arts opportunities for students in our region. Each year, the endowment provides funds for projects including past initiatives like the Kate Dean Color Run, community murals, and the Lights of the Albemarle Lantern Parade.

The David Bosomworth Performing Arts Fund was created in loving memory of David Bosomworth to provide scholarships to students and other individuals enrolling in performing arts educational programming administered by Arts of the Albemarle (AOA). David Bosomworth was a strong supporter of every aspect of AOA – his leadership, profound intellect and passion for making a difference shone through in his support of AOA.

The Arts of the Albemarle Endowment is a fund managed by the North Carolina Community Foundation that serves as a perpetual source of support for Arts of the Albemarle community programs, services and special projects. The endowment may provide support for Arts of the Albemarle events or opportunities that will provide a platform to exhibit artists as well as providing performing and visual arts events for citizens to enjoy.
