River City Strings
River City Strings is Arts of the Albemarle's premier children's violin program. With its success over the past three years, Director Danny Tate, has created two weekly violin classes to serve beginner violinists and more advanced students. Violin classes are offered in the Fall and the Spring with a free end of semester concert for the community.
AOA owns violins are loaned to students each semester. The River City Strings students are also seen around town performing for community events such as Elizabeth City's Holiday Lighting Ceremony and Pasquotank County Tourism's Olympic Qualifying Coast Guard Marathon.
We are proud to offer income-based tuition assistance, ensuring that financial barriers never prevent a child from participating in the arts.
