About the artist/workshop

A local artist who has lived in the Elizabeth City area for twenty years. Corbin's first experience with painting began in 1965. In the same year at age nine received an art award from the Orange County Virginia Art Counsel. Many of his works over the years has been landscapes and still life. His paintings have found themselves in residences and businesses scattered across the country.

          "I consider the desire to create art, whatever the medium, to be the true gift . I believe that desire to be in everyone, whether they paint, sing, dance, or hum. The desire to express ourselves in a manner that is pleasing to the soul and brings joys to others is something we all should nurture, as well as encourage in others."
